TIL : Bleach Was Originally Going to be Called "Snipe"

Everybody loves the dark/surreal nature of Bleach. It's hard to imagine the anime without the impressive action scenes with sword fighting gore, but that very well could have been the case. Tite Kubo (pictured below)




According to Tite Bleach was originally going to be called "Snipe" with Rukia's weapon of choice being a scythe, and everybody else using guns. He later scrapped the idea, and instead went with the name Bleach "due to the contrast of black to white".
