Kenshin Himura dying of AIDS? It is almost unheard of for a main character of such a popular anime to die. Well that happened to Kenshin. It needs to be said that this was in the OVA/Movie not the manga/anime. The popular myth is that he died of AIDS. This is only partly true. It is true that Kenshin died. It is true he died of a STD. The problem is it was never specified, also judging from the time period Ruruouni Kenshin takes place, no one would have even been able to diagnose AIDS.
